Online billpay confirms 'autopay' is scheduled, only to find out, that just means your next bill is scheduled. Is this the only company in the world that does not allow autopay? Thanks Phenix City for remaining in the 19th century.
Multiple employees have told me in office that there is no way to set up autopay even with a bank draft without an additional charge. I have never heard of any other utility company charging for automatic bank drafts. Today after waiting quite some time on hold an employee told me it's free. I'm hoping this individual is correct so I can pursue this option since paying online by the due date does not guarantee the avoidance of a late fee. I have never heard of such silly policies from any other utility company. On top of having to pay them around a $70 fee just to have it switched into my name (utility was already on and working), I will be happy when I move out of their jurisdiction where I won't have a pool of water at the end of my driveway that they took at least a month to fix after notifying them!
The russel country sanitation sends out letters threatening to arrest you over a garbage bill. When you're exempt from paying it and they don't tell you that you need to apply every year. They let my bill get 3 months past due and let me exempt status expire and they knew this. But they still sent me a threatening letter that if you don't get your bill current they will issue a warrant out for your arrest and you'll be sent to jail over a garbage bill. But this time its their fault. I thought that I was still exempt and they didn't bother to tell me my bill was past due. Oh if you complain about their unjust treatment, they will retaliate against you by giving you the run around. Which is harassment.
Customer service stops before 5. Closing time should change if they're gonna close up before.
I for the first time in along time had to go inside to pay my water bill today. There was a soldier in front of me, in uniform might I add. One of the workers was huddled in the corner talking with someone. When she was done she said to the soldier sir twice, he was reading the paperwork in his hands and didn't hear her. So she proceeded to say with a crappy attitude and hand gestures come here like he was 5 years old. Her attitude towards him was disturbing to say the least. Why are these workers so rude to us. We live here and have businesses here. Maybe its time to leave Phenix City permanently.
