-How would you describe your relationship with your parent(s)/sibling(s)?
I previously (this did not occur today) had a bad run in with my scary/druggy neighbors. They have always parked in our driveway, drove through our yard, and when we confront them they threaten us. We never called the law, figuring it would just cause more problems for us. Well one day, one of the neighbors dogs (1 of 15) got off his chain and ran to my fence snarling at us, obviously our two dogs too ran to the fence in defense of themselves, our yard, and their humans. Their dog grabbed my dog (who we treat like our children) through the fence and broke his nose and would not let go of him.
-What do you do when you are angry?
When the deputies came out they talked to us for a few minutes, walked to my neighbors house for a few minutes, and came back over and told us "you all need to get along with onew another". They filed a report and that was it!
Did not at all like how they handled the situation. And again, hate having to leave a bad review for the people suppose to be protecting us. I know Russell County/Phenix City is generally a bad place filled with bad people, but you have to help the people having to deal with it. And this time, they did not.
-What's your biggest mistake?
Today I am leaving a bad review, because I called this sheriff department to make me feel better, and they left my home with me feeling like a small and still scared person.
-What do you think will be the hardest thing about being a correction officer? What do you think you will enjoy about being a correction officer?
My husband finally got their dog off of ours, we asked our neighbor if their dog had his shots, because we were about to our dog to the emergency vet clinc. They totally freaked out on us, started throwing things, threatening us yet again, trying to climb our fence to fight (so obviously the answer was no, their dog does not have his shots). So we called the sheriff department. Us being animal lovers, did not want to see their dog get hurt or taken away, we just want to make sure he had his shots, our dogs nose was broken and bleeding.
For the oral interview for correction officer Chief Deputy Sheriff, the warden and assistant warden should ask you all question, to make sure you are honest . They did not ask me any of these questions , when I was applying for job . They asked me if I know people who currently work there and if I know how to use a stun gun .
Do you think correction officer allowed to answer these questions honestly ? :) I am so glad I did not work there for a long time .
-What are the reasons why you left your previous employer(s)?
-How often do you drink alcohol? How much?
The Sheriff’s Office is accountable for the official acts of employees. We , RSCO, acknowledge this responsibility through a system of investigative and disciplinary procedures to correct the deputy or employee when improper conduct is evident .
I would never want to leave a bad review for people who risk their lives and protect us. Most people leaving the Sherriff or the police department bad reviews are generally(not always) people who were in the wrong.
-What are your strengths?
-Why do you want to become a correction officer?
Left me heart broken that they didn't care about my dog (again we see them as our children), they didn't care about our safety, we were so nervous they were going to try to hurt us somehow. Our neighbors were seriously nuts; doing drugs all day everyday!
Very rude place , just " Andy "
-What do you do when you hang out with your friends?
-What makes you angry?
I was threatend to have a warrant put on me because I didn't answer my phone or read my text messages from some people that caused trouble with me and my family then I was told that I maliciously changed our address. I asked 2 questions 1. What law says I have to answer my phone or read a text that I get? 2. How is changing my family's address when we moved malicious? The answer I was giving was "take it up with the judge a warrant will be issued for your arrest "
-How often do you see them?
I definitely will follow above recommendations and encourage many more officers , previously working for RCSO , to stay strong and confident in finding truth in their illegal termination by sheriff Taylor . The truth ( retaliation, discrimination ) is not and should not be the reason for termination , when employer has engaged in illegal activities during the termination process . I encourage you to contact office of EEOC , just to start . We will win !
-What was it like being the oldest/youngest/middle child?
___ -How would you describe your childhood?
-What are your weaknesses?
-What's the hardest thing you will have to overcome in your life?
-How do you resolve a disagreement with someone ?
Here are questions , that do not require answers for Russell county jail :
-What do you do in your free time?
" what is your biggest mistake ?" to apply for that job !
-How many close friends do you have?
If you were treated improperly or unfairly, we encourage you to come forward as soon as practical after the incident. Memories fade with time and a more accurate outcome is likely if we can begin our investigation right away.
-What would you change about yourself?
